Refer a patient
We welcome referrals from GPs and specialists for patients being considered for prostate artery embolisation, genicular artery embolisation, and musculoskeletal embolisation. The simplest way to refer is to email a signed referral letter to our rooms, and you are always welcome to call to discuss a case first.
How to refer
Email a signed referral letter to our rooms, or send an electronic referral through HealthLink. A referral lets the specialist consultation attract a Medicare rebate, so please include one where possible.

Conditions we assess for embolisation
Image-guided embolisation is a day procedure performed through a pinhole under light sedation. It may suit patients who want to avoid or delay surgery, or who are not suitable surgical candidates.
Enlarged prostate
Men with lower urinary tract symptoms from benign prostatic enlargement who are considering prostate artery embolisation (PAE), including those on medication or wanting to avoid TURP.
Knee osteoarthritis
Patients with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis and persistent pain despite conservative care, who are being considered for genicular artery embolisation (GAE).
Musculoskeletal pain
Chronic tendon and joint conditions being assessed for musculoskeletal embolisation, such as frozen shoulder and other painful soft-tissue conditions.
